Q. What are
the needed documents for issuing an Iraqi passport?
A. The needed documents are;

Civil Status Identity Card and
Iraqi nationality certificate ( Originals or Copies) or original
register proved by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in
case of a lost or stolen passport, a copy of the passport is
needed with a letter from the security department of the area in
which the passport was lost or stolen.

A fee payment of US$(20).

3 new photos of the bearer.
Q. Can expired
Iraqi passports be extended?
A. All expired passports with letters ( S, M, N )
can be extended after filling up an extension form and payment of
the required fees.
Q. Can children
be added to the valid or expired passports which belongs to either
parents?
A. Yes, they can be added to the Iraqi
passport which belongs to either parents
Q. Can a child
who was born in Iraq, be added to either parents' passports if his
age was under 14 years old?
A. He can be added if an Iraqi birth
certificate or a civil status ID is provided.
Q. Can passports
be issued for children above 12 years old and whom already been
registered with one of their parents' passport?
A. Yes.
Q. Can passports
be provided through posts?
A. No.
Q. Can passports
be provided for Iraqi persons who do not bear any Iraqi documents or
certificates ( ID, Nationality Certificate or Origin Register)?
A. No, not possible.
Q. Can a marriage
certificate be provided by the embassy at the present time?
A. No, not possible.
Q. Can Iraqi
documents be certified?
A. Yes, in case of being previously
certified by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affirs.
