On 28/9/2009 H. E. Mr. Ayad Al-Samarrae , head of the Iraqi parliament arrived to Tehran in an official visit to Iran heading a big ranking delegation. He was received at the airport by H. E. the Iraqi Ambassador Mr. Mohammad Majid AL-Shaikh and Mr. Falahat Piesh , head of the Iranian – Iraqi friendship committee. H. E. Mr. Al-Samarrae had several meeting with Iranian officials such Mr. Larijani , head of the Iranian parliament , Mr. Jaleeli , head of the Iranian National Security council.  

On 27/9/2009 H. E. The Ambassador of the republic of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh received in his office Mr. Ridha Jawad Taqi , member of the Iraqi parliament. On 22/7/2009 H. E. the Ambassador Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh visited the embassy of Afghanistan and met with H. E. the Afghani Ambassador. Both sides discussed the Iraqi-Afghani relations , the latest developments in Iraq. Also they discussed the issues of reopening of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Baghdad , the release of Afghanis detained in Iraq and other topics of mutual interest.

On 16/7/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Shaikh participated in a ceremony held in the city of Qum and honor some Iraqi students who received Master and PHD degrees. H. E. the Ambassador in his speech in the ceremony asked all qualified and graduated Iraqis to return to Iraq  to rebuild their country which is in dire need for their services.

On Wednesday 11/7/2009 H. E. the Ambassador Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh hosted the rotary session of the Arab Ambassadors. The Arab ambassadors discussed the latest Arabic, Iranian and International Developments. 

On Tuesday morning 7/7/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of the republic of iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh was interviewed by Jam-e-Jam international Net. In this interview many topics concerning Iraqi-Iranian relations , the latest security , political and economical developments , in Iraq were discussed. As well the issue of the evacuation of the American forces from the Iraqi cities was also discussed.

On 6/7/2009 The Embassy of the republic of Iraq in Tehran had a big ceremony on the occasion of "The Iraqi Sovereignty Day" in which a great number of Iraqi residing in Iran participated in it. H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh gave a speech in which he congratulated all Iraqis on this occasion which proved the ability of the Iraqi forces in maintaining security in all cities in Iraq. The representative of the regional government of Kurdistan also participated in this occasion in which he congratulated the Iraqi people for what they have achieved. 

On 5/7/2009 morning H.E. the Ambassador of the republic of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh met with Mr. Mozaffari the new Head of the protocol department in the Iranian foreign ministry. Both sides discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and some topics of mutual interest.

On 25/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of the republic of IRAQ Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh participated in the commemoration ceremony (the sixth anniversary) of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Baqir Al-Hakim which was held in amirulmomaneen Hosseineyah in Dawlat Abad in Tehran.

On 24/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh received in his office the Hungarian Ambassador. Both sides discussed the development in Iraq and the latest developments in Iran.

On 21/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of the republic of IRAQ Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh participated in the meeting which was held in the Iranian Foreign Ministry in which H. E. Mr. Manuchehir Muttaki , the Iranian Foreign Minister elaborated on the recent development in Iran after the presidential elections which led to the reelection of the president Mr. Ahmadi Nejad.

On 21/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh participated with the other Ambassadors to Tehran in a meeting with Mr. Muttaki , the Iranian Foreign Minister who explained to them new development in Iran which occurred after the Iranian presidential elections.

On 14/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of the republic of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid A—Shaikh received in his office Mr. Abdul Hussein Al-Yaseri, director general of Al-Rafidain bank and the delegation accompanying him. They are visiting Iran to discussed with the Iranian authorities the possibility of opening a branch for Al-Rafidain bank in Tehran.

Under the auspices of H. E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh a ceremony by the Iraqi ladies in Khawaran culture complex. The representative of the Iranian president in women's affairs gave a speech in which she hailed the bravery during the time of the previous regime and for what is doing at the present time.

A large number of faili Kurd's ladies had a commemoration for their sons and relatives who were killed by the regime of saddam. This commemorative ceremony was under the auspices of H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh.

On 6/6/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh had a meeting with H. E. Mr. Mohmud Babae , director general of the economic affairs in the Iranian ministry of foreign affairs and discussed with him the relations between the two countries.

On 5/6/2009 (Friday Afternoon) A member of Iraqi ministers arrived to Tehran to visit his eminence seyed Abdul Azeez Al-Hakim who is in a hospital in Tehran. The ministers were ministers high education, tourism, electricity, deportees and immigrants plus other ministers. They were received at the airport by H. E. Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh Ambassador of the republic of Iraq.

On 3/6/2009 H. E. Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi , vice president of the republic of Iraq had a short visit to Iran where he visited his eminence seyed Abdul Azeez Al-Hakim in one of  Tehran's hospital. He conveyed to him the greeting of Iraqi people and officials.

On 7/6/2009 H. E. The Iraqi minister of health accompanied by Mr. Ali Ghabban visited the Embassy of IRAQ in Tehran on 7/6/2009 and they were received by H.E. Ambassador of  Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh and some of the diplomats. H. E. the minister was given a report about the services presented by the Embassy to Iraqis living in Iran.

On 6/6/2009 H. E. Mr. Jalal Talabani President of the republic of iraq arrived to Tehran in a short visit in which he visited His eminence seyed Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim , Head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council in one of Tehran's hospital.

On 3/6/2009 H.E. The Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Shaikh met with Mr. Kamalian , in charge of Iraq's issues in the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs. He also met with Mr. Mir Fakhar , Head of the consular Section in the same ministry. He discussed with them some issues of mutual interest and ways of promoting the relations between Iraq and Iran.

On Monday night (1/6/2009) H. E. The Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Shaikh  gave a dinner party in the honor of the Iraqi Parliament delegation headed by Shaikh Khalid Al-Atteyeh who are visiting Iran. H. E. The Ambassador spoke about the services presented by the Embassy to the Iraqis living in Iran and it's role in strengthening the relations between Iraq and Iran. The Iraqi Parliamentary delegation met with Ayatullah sharoudi head of the Judiciary in Iran.

On 31/5/2009 H. E. The Ambassador Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Shaikh received in his office the new British Ambassador to Iran. During the meeting the Iraqi – British and the security , political developments in Iraq were discussed.

On Tuesday night (26/5/2009) H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-shaikh had a dinner party in his residence in honor of the delegation of Iraqi parliament (Iraqi-Iranian Friendship committee) who are headed by Mr. Falih AL-Fayyadh . This delegation is on an official visit to Iran which will last for 5 days in which they will meet with the Iraqi living in Iran and how to solve their problems.

On 27/5/2009 H. E. the Ambassador of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Shaikh met with Mr. Kamalion in charge of the Iraqi Affairs in the Iranian Foreign Ministry. During the meeting the relations between the  two countries and the forth coming visit of the Iraqi prime minister . Mr. Al-Maleki to Tehran on Saturday 30/5/2009.

On 20/5/2009 H. E. The Foreign Minister of Iraq Mr. Hoshyar Zibari visited the Iraqi Embassy. H. E. The Iraqi Ambassador welcomed him and the delegation with him. The Ambassador spoke the services give by the Embassy to Iraqi living in Iran and the ---- it plays in promoting the relations between Iraq and Iran. H. E. Mr. Zibari thanked the Ambassador and the Embassy's staff for their efforts in serving the Iraqis in Iran.

On 13/5/2009 the reporter of Jam-e-Jam Newspaper had an interview with H.E.The Ambassador of Iraq Mr.Mohammad Majid Al-shaikh in which he spoke about the Iraqi-Iranian relations and the latest developments in Iraq.

On 12/5/2009 H.E.The Ambassador Mr.Mohammad Majid AL-shaikh  received in his office the France Ambassador to Tehran .During the meeting the Iraqi-Franch relation and the developments in Iraq were discussed.

On 12/5/2009 H.E.The Ambassador Mr.Mohammad Majid AL-shaikh  received in his office the Ambassador if Afghanistan to Tehran .The relations between two countries ,the possibility of reopening of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Baghdad were discussed by them.

On 6/5/2009 H. E. the Ambassador Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-shikh received Mr. Jassim Mohammed Jaffar , Iraqi Minister of Youth and sport. H. E. the Ambassador gave a report to his guest about the conditions of the Iraqi living in iran and their problems and needs and what the Iraqi Embassy do for them. His Excellency  the Minister thanked the Ambassador and the staff of the Iraqi Embassy for their efforts to help the Iraqi living in iran.

On 4/5/2009 HE.The Ambassador Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-shaikh received the new  Indian Ambassador to Tehran Mr. sanjay singh. They discussed the relations between Iraq and India and the Iraqi-iranian relations.

H.E. the Ambassador also visited the office of the representative of Ayatullah Sistani and the office of the representative of Ayatullah M.Saeed Al.Hakim .He also visited Ahlul-Bait University . H.E. the Ambassador met with some Iraqi ladies and listened to their problems and questiones . As well he participated in the ceremony which was held on the occasion of the 29^th anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatullah Sadr and his sister. 

On 19/4/2009 H.E The Ambassador Mr. Mohammad Majid Al- Shaikh received in his office the Mexican Ambassador Presenting credentials  by the Mexican Ambassador to Iraqi authorities were one of the subjects discussed in this meeting

Mr. Talibani was received officially by president Ahmadi Nejad Mr. Talibani had meetings with the Leader of Iran, Mr. Rafsajani, Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroodi and other Iranian officials His taiks with the Iranian officials focused on ways of having the best economical, trade and political relation between the two countries.

On 28/1/2009 H.E. The ambassador of the Republic of Iraq Mr. Mohammad Majid Al-Shaikh met with Mr. Shahrukh Ramin, Member of Iranian Islamic Assembly for medical care. H.E. discussed with him way of promoting the Iraqi-Iranian relations and using the Iranian expertise in this field.
